Martin has practiced law for 38 years, mainly focusing on family and divorce law. He served in the U.S. Navy on active duty from 1982 to 1988, and on reserve duty until 2001, at the rank of Lieutenant Commander.   He served in the Peace Corps in Paraguay from 2005 to 2007, working with small businesses, teaching English to adults and working with a shelter for children. Mr. Coonen approaches cases in a calm, reasoned, and evidence based manner.  Problems are easy to find; our goal is to find solutions.

Jennifer has been practicing family law for five years. Prior to joining our firm she worked as an associate attorney at a Chicago firm handling plaintiff's personal injury cases.

Beth has been a legal assistant since 2004 and has been working with Mr. Coonen for over 10 years. She is the first person you will speak with when you call our office and the first person you will see when you come in for your appointments. She is an integral part of our practice.
